Heat exchangers are commonly used in aquaculture and aquatic life support systems to provide efficient point source temperature transfer from a central heat source to the aquatic culture unit. Heat exchangers can be used for single point or multiple point temperature control from a single heat source which provides a high degree of design flexibility. Heat exchangers are available in stainless steel for freshwater and titanium for saltwater in several standard configurations to meet the project requirements including plate & frame (PHE), tube-in-shell, and immersion grid coil type. IAS can supply heat exchangers loose or as a complete engineered package with temperature controller, circulation pumps, gauges and other required components for a fully functioning system.
