INTEGRATED AQUA SYSTEMS INC. ANNOUNCES EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTORSHIP WITH RK PLAST A/S

Escondido, CA, January 11, 2016 – Integrated Aqua Systems, Inc. (IAS), a leading aquatic systems integrator and aquaculture equipment supplier announced today its exclusive North American distributorship agreement with international injection molding company RK Plast A/S based in Denmark. RK Plast manufactures high quality polypropylene biological filter media for aquaculture and other wastewater treatment industries throughout Denmark and internationally.

“We have found RK Plast BioElements to have the best combination of high usable surface area and ideal densities for proper biofilter performance in the industry. BioElements™ have 750 m2/m3 (228ft2/ft3) of surface area and are offered in three different densities (light, medium and heavy) depending on the specific biofilter application. For moving bed biofilters, medium density BioElements™ (1.0 gr/cm3) have resulted in considerable energy savings due to lower air volumes required for proper mixing compared to other brands and lighter biofilter materials. IAS stocks the biomedia in its Escondido, CA facility and markets the patented media under its own label, IAS BioElements™.
